Over the years, we’ve seen a whole lot of impersonations of the scandal-ridden, one-term, twice-impeached former president, Donald Trump. To be completely frank, some of them have been pretty on point, some of them have been hilarious, some have been downright terrible, and a handful of them have been good enough, or at least funny enough, for the impersonator to garner some internet fame or even a social media career out of their comedy bits.
While it’s easy to say that there are far more important things going on in the world right now — and that’s valid, as there certainly are a ton of important things going on day in and day out at this point — and it could even be easy to say that we shouldn’t get our kicks from making fun of someone, that there are far more legitimate things to trash Donald Trump over than his annoying voice and narcissistic word salads (which is also valid, I suppose,) the hilarious Trump impersonations serve as just a little bit of comedic relief in a world that gets hard to live in sometimes. And if we deserve anything at this point, after four long years under that man’s reign of terror and the continued havoc he wrecks as an ex-president still to this day, it’s something to give us a laugh or two every once in a while.
And boy, did this hit the spot?
This week, a new impersonation of the washed-up former guy made waves across social media, and to be completely honest, it caught us by surprise, as it came from someone we just weren’t quite expecting to pull it off so seamlessly — Jamie Foxx.
