Donald Trump has made a complete and utter mess out of this nation’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.
That’s not really an opinion, but rather an observation of facts. While other countries are starting to settle down from their outbreaks — thanks to rapid responses from the government including stringent social distancing guidelines, mass lockdowns, financial assistance to citizens from the federal government, and widespread testing — the United States, under the reign of Donald Trump, is still struggling to even get our footing as we continue to skyrocket above anywhere else in terms of numbers of infections and coronavirus-related deaths.
And frankly, it’s a direct result of the president’s blatant and disgusting incompetence, selfishness, and ego.
However, Donald Trump, still to this day, after all these deaths and an infinite number of more surely to come, isn’t about to admit that maybe… Just maybe… He could have done something differently.

During a White House event this evening, one reporter took it upon himself to confront Donald with the facts and ask him if, looking back, there was anything he wished he’d done differently — now that the United States has more than 1.5 million confirmed cases and 90 thousand plus deaths from the virus.
But, in true Trump fashion, the president still seems to believe that he’s done everything right.
“The US has 4 percent of the world’s population and 30 percent of the COVID-19 cases. What would you have done differently?” the reporter asked Trump.
Donald didn’t take this opportunity to admit that he could have acted sooner. He didn’t stop to muse about how he could’ve offered thorough financial assistance to this nation’s people to help keep them safe at home until this thing passed, without having to worry about the rent. He didn’t even cock his head to the side and say “Well, you know, we could have been a little more strict with the masks.”
What did Donald Trump say in response?
Donald Trump said, “Well, nothing.”
That’s it, folks.
As people across this nation bury their dead in mass graves or wait for a call to identify the body from inside a refrigerated truck, Donald J. Trump still thinks he did everything right.
And that’s exactly the epitome of everything that is so very, very wrong.
