Oh no, he's crying again.

Miles Taylor served as a political appointee at the Department of Homeland Security from 2017 to 2019 in the Trump administration and as chief of staff to Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. Taylor gave presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden a ringing endorsement on Monday while warning that Donald Trump is “unfocused” and “undisciplined.” Our thin-skinned president isn’t taking that very well, apparently.

Trump on Wednesday once again took aim at his own former Department of Homeland Security chief of staff after CBS News reporter Wijia Jiang asked Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf whether the White House liaison for DHS was asked to dig up dirt on Taylor after he endorsed Biden.

After Wolf spoke of his disappointment in Taylor, Trump weighed in. The president insisted that he “never met him, I never heard of him,” even though there is a photograph of Taylor with Donald Trump in the Oval Office with the two of them smiling.

“He left a year and a half ago, all of a sudden he’s badmouthing us,” Trump said. “The reason is the Democrats, or somebody got to him and said, ‘How would you like to speak,’ or whatever. He’s a lowlife! Anybody who does that is a lowlife!”

Watch:

Well, we’re not sure how Trump can claim to have never met the man while also describing Taylor as a “lowlife” but that’s just what this president does when he is criticized. And in the same breath, Trump also claimed that Taylor said great things when he left the department.

As for Chad Wolf’s remarks, they are moot since he was found on Friday to have been invalidly appointed to his position and is ineligible to serve by a congressional watchdog.

At any rate, the president is lashing out at a former official of his own administration again. There is a pattern that has formed of Trump’s disloyalty to those that once served in his administration.
