COVID-19 is ravaging Florida, so Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-FL) sprang into action and announced that he filed a bill to name a highway in the Sunshine State after former President Donald Trump. It seems rather weird to want to name a highway after a twice-impeached one-term president, but that’s what Sabatini wants to do, and he started his tweet off by writing “BREAKING” as if he was dealing with a direly important issue.

“BREAKING: Today I filed the Bill to name Florida’s longest road—U.S. Highway 27—the ‘President Donald J. Trump Highway,’ to honor one of America’s greatest Presidents,” he tweeted. In the tweet, he links to a petition which states, “The Establishment is trying to DESTROY President Donald Trump’s legacy. I refuse to let that happen. I am officially refiling my bill to rename Highway 27 the President Donald J. Trump Highway! Add your name to show your support!”

Sooo brave!

The backlash on Twitter was fierce.

Just rename it Loser Highway, and everyone will know who it’s named after.
