Republicans Stormed Out Of Closed-Door Coronavirus Hearing After Democrats Called Them Out On Trump Administration’s Dismal Response

They don't want to face the truth!

According to a new bombshell report from Politico, several House Republicans and one House Democrat walked out of a closed-door meeting regarding the deadly coronavirus outbreak that’s sweeping the globe when their House Democratic counterparts called them out on the Trump administration’s lackluster response to the impending pandemic — including Donald’s repeated claims that “everything is fine” and no sense of urgency is required surrounding the deadly illness.

Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) wasted no time in denouncing the Trump administration for their catastrophic, disorganized, self-serving, and lazy approach to the virus that continues to kill thousands worldwide and infect thousands more.

DeLauro’s slam, while certainly true and even needed in my opinion, wasn’t well-received by her GOP counterparts as well as one of her fellow Democratic House members — prompting them to storm out of the hearing in protest.

One of the individuals to walk out of the crucial hearing was Rep. Paul Mitchell (R-Mich.) who stated, “If I wanted to hear the politics of it, I’d read Politico or something, let’s be serious.”

Rep. Donna Shalala (D-FL), the Democratic Congresswoman who joined the sullen crew of Republicans in their walkout, stated that she didn’t feel that the House hearing was the appropriate time or setting for DeLauro to air her complaints.

“No one wanted to hear that, either the Democrats or Republicans. We just wanted to hear the substance,” Shalala declared of the slam.

But her colleagues’ complaints did nothing to staunch Rosa’s criticism of the administration’s handling of the virus.

DeLauro spoke with reporters after the hearing and stood strong by her decision to raise her concerns and critiques of the Trump administration’s coronavirus response, stating, “the issue on resources and current expenditures has been less than adequate and that these are some of the questions that we have to get answered.”

She added, “I quite frankly don’t worry about people who may have a concern. I just know that the questions are right.”

Quite frankly, I say let them walk out. It’s high time someone said something before it’s too late.
