Things got a little awkward for the ex-president today, it seemed, after he made an appearance on a right-wing radio show, where the host aired out all his grievances with the January 6th House Select Committee and their explosive public hearings, before he seemingly got a little to close for comfort for the former guy when he began to question whether Trump thought he’d ultimately be hauled out of Mar-a-Lago in “shackles.”
The awkward question came from host Wayne Allyn Root during an interview with the one-term, twice-impeached, washed-up former guy on his radio talk show, The Wayne Allyn Root Show.
Root’s gripes began with the topic of former Trump trade advisor Peter Navarro and his recent arrest and indictment of Contempt of Congress charges after he repeatedly and blatantly refused to comply with subpoenas issued against him by the House Panel that’s investigating the infamous January 6th Capitol attack, and concerted effort by Trump and his inner circle to essentially enact a coup and overthrow the 2020 presidential election.
“When they arrest a Peter Navarro, who’s next? You?” the ultra Right-wing host fumed, before making things a little awkward for everyone involved when he asked, “Are they gonna try and take you out of Mar-a-Lago in shackles? This is insanity!”

Trump seemed to side-step the mental image of himself being hauled out of his Palm Spring, FL, resort/home — the same sort of shackles he demanded to be thrown on his 2016 Democratic presidential opponent Hillary Clinton over her alleged use of a personal email during her time in the State Department, while railing against her for a litany of crimes she never committed.
Instead, Trump responded, “What’s going on has never been seen in this country before… It is so serious… but I’m at the forefront.”

Trump may not want to talk about the notion, but you can bet we’re literally dreaming of the day.
