Stephen Miller Attacks Biden’s COVID Address, Says President Is “Deliberately Setting Low Goals”: “Trump Wanted To Put A Man On Mars. Biden Wants You To Eat Ribs With Family On July 4”

On Thursday, President Joe Biden delivered a public address on the coronavirus pandemic that is still raging through this country a year later now. As we’ve come to expect from our new president, Biden’s speech was full of hope and compassion as he vowed to ensure that every single American is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine by the first of May and suggested that if the virus cases continue to decline that people may be able to gather in small groups to celebrate Independence Day.

As I said, it was a hopeful, compassionate speech, in which he truly connected with the American people who have been suffering for over a year now.

Of course, Donald Trump’s people have tried to ruin it since the moment President Biden opened his mouth.

Former senior advisor to Donald Trump appeared on Fox News just a day after the new Commander-in-Chief’s address to the nation to slam and attacked President Biden for, well, whatever his pea brain could come up with at the time — trashing the speech as “gloomy” and accusing Biden of setting “unambitious and uninspiring goals.”

Miller mocked Biden during his Fox interview with Larry Kudlow, saying, “John F. Kennedy said let’s put a man on the moon. Donald Trump said let’s put a man on Mars. Joe Biden said let’s see if you can eat BBQ ribs with your own relatives and loved ones July 4.”

“Newsflash to the Biden administration: People have been doing that throughout the pandemic with their own family members,” he spewed.

Biden stated about halfway through his speech earlier this week, “July 4th with your loved ones is the goal. But a goal – a lot can happen. Conditions can change. The scientists have made clear that things may get worse again as new variants of the virus spread.”

Miller actually had the gall to claim that part of the President’s speech had undertones that were threatening and intimidating.

“The speechwriters clearly thought it would be an effective cudgel to threaten people with an ‘or else,'” the former Trump official claimed.

“That’s not how you inspire people… It’s not the American rhetorical tradition. People respond to positive energy, to optimism, to painting a picture of what can be achieved in the best of circumstances,” he went on. “Threatening people with punitive measures and saying if you don’t do it this way, I will shut everything down – It’s mean-spirited.”
