Folks, yet another Trump pal, and former employee has bit the dust.
Multiple reports are now indicating that Donald Trump’s former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon was arrested this morning on charges of fraud after cheating hundreds of thousands of people who donated to his “We Build The Wall” fundraising campaign.
Bannon, along with three of his associates, was indicted by the Southern District of New York after an investigation concluded that the Conservative group raised “more than $25 million to build a wall along the southern border of the United States” only to use a good portion of the donations for personal gain.
The indictment alleges that Bannon and his associates “collectively received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donor funds from ‘We Build the Wall,’ which they each used in a manner inconsistent with the organization’s public representations.”
Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss released a statement saying, “The defendants defrauded hundreds of thousands of donors, capitalizing on their interest in funding a border wall to raise millions of dollars, under the false pretense that all of that money would be spent on construction. While repeatedly assuring donors that Brian Kolfage, the founder and public face of We Build the Wall, would not be paid a cent, the defendants secretly schemed to pass hundreds of thousands of dollars to Kolfage, which he used to fund his lavish lifestyle. We thank the USPIS for their partnership in investigating this case, and we remain dedicated to rooting out and prosecuting fraud wherever we find it.”

However, the fact that yet another Trump associate is on his way to a life full of orange jumpsuits and bologna sandwiches isn’t even the most delicious part of this whole ordeal.
What really puts the icing on this cake is the fact that, amid the Trump administration’s efforts to completely derail the United States Postal Service ahead of the 2020 presidential election, it was, in fact, USPS agents who not only helped take Bannon down but actually, physically arrested him.
From CBS’ Pat Milton: Steve Bannon was taken into custody today by US Postal Service agents. He’s expected to be arraigned today before a US magistrate. @SDNYnews alleges he had a role in defrauding donors as part of an online crowdfunding campaign known as “We Build the Wall”

Frankly, folks, the only “boys in blue” I’m looking to save and protect is the United States Postal Service workers. It’s safe to say, they’re out here doing the Lord’s work.
