Trump Says He “Didn’t Like That Project” When Asked About ” We Build The Wall Effort’’ Even Though Kris Kobach Says Donald Endorsed It

He tries it every time.

Here we are, living through yet another day in which yet another of Trump’s close allies has bit the proverbial dust.

Reports swirled this morning of Trump’s former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon’s indictment and arrest on charges of fraud.

Reports indicate that Bannon and three of his associates were raising money through their campaign, “We Build The Wall” to help fund Trump’s cruel southern border wall pet project. However, investigators discovered that many of the donations made to the campaign ultimately went to personal uses by Bannon and his associates.

This afternoon, Donald Trump held an impromptu press briefing regarding the downfall of yet another one of his close friends and didn’t waste any time in taking to the tactic that he’s pretty well known for at this point — denying any and all knowledge or accountability regarding the situation at hand.

During the presser, NBC’s Geoff Bennett asked Trump for his reaction to Bannon’s indictment.

Trump quickly responded the only way he seems to know how.

“I feel very badly,” Trump said. “I haven’t been dealing with him for a very long period of time. Don’t know anything about the project at all. It’s a very sad thing about Mr. Bannon.”

However, as it usually happens with Donald Trump, there’s a blatant contradiction following closely behind him.

Kris Kobach, the former Kansas secretary of state, served as an advisory board member of “We Build The Wall Inc.” and during an interview with the New York Times back in January of 2019, he was proud to admit that Trump not only knew about the ordeal, but was apparently very happy with it.

“I talked with the president, and the ‘We Build the Wall Effort’ came up. The president said ‘the project has my blessing, and you can tell the media that’,” Kobach said in the interview.

Once again, Donald Trump is nothing more than a second-rate liar who doesn’t know how or care to check his own closet before spewing at the mouth.

And frankly, I still believe that it’s only a matter of time before he himself goes the way of Bannon and so many of his associates before him.
