Earlier today, we reported on Trump’s newest unhinged statement, in which he railed against the Pulitzer Prize and the Board that’s responsible for them, over their prizes awarded to journalists who covered the investigation into Donald’s alleged collusion with Russia in the 2016 election.

In the statement, Trump said he attached a letter that he penned to the Pulitzer Prize Interim Administrator Bud Kliment. In this letter, the disgraced former guy demanded that the Pulitzer Prize Board the 2018 Pulitzer Prizes awarded for National Reporting.

“I call on the Pulitzer Prize Board to immediately rescind the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting awarded to the staffs of The New York Times and The Washington Post, which was based on false reporting of a non-existent link between the Kremlin and the Trump Campaign,” Donald Trump wrote. “As has been widely publicized, the coverage was no more than a politically motivated farce which attempted to spin a false narrative that my campaign supposedly colluded with Russia despite a complete lack of evidence underpinning this allegation.”

For many years now, Donald Trump and his numerous jockeys in both Congress and the Right-wing media have attempted to label the Russian investigation as a “witch hunt,” a hoax, and fake news., meant to do nothing more than shame, embarrass, and “cancel” him. However, almost all the reporting done by the entities that received the prize was largely confirmed by not only former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia Report, but also the Senate Intelligence Committee report that was chaired by Senator Richard Burr.

It’s certainly worth noting here that both Meuller and Burr were, and to our knowledge remain registered Republicans.

Washington Post and New York Times staff were awarded for their reporting on Trump’s collusion with Russia in the 2016 presidential election as well as Russia’s connection to the now-former president. Pulitzer commemorated the awards with this write up:

For deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration. (The New York Times entry, submitted in this category, was moved into contention by the Board and then jointly awarded the Prize.)”

The ex-president sent an email to Kliment that had the letter attached through his Save America PAC.

“I have heard that the Pulitzer Prize Board is too embarrassed, or don’t know how, to respond to my letter dated Oct. 3, a copy of which is attached, about those who got the RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA Hoax completely wrong,” Trump said. “These Pulitzer Prizes for totally incorrect reporting have become worthless and meaningless.”
