Ted Cruz Was Embarrassingly Called Out On Public Stage After Trying To Claim None Of Them Owned Private Jets, Quickly Reminded That His Own GOP Colleague Does

Seriously, dude?

Ted Cruz got his proverbial ass handed to him during a recent event when he attempted to claim that none of the Republicans there with him owned private jets.

Spoiler alert: they did.

The Cancun transplant Republican Texas senator attended the recent climate conference, where he took to the podium on stage and attempted to act as though he gave a single rat’s ass about climate change or the environment. And, of course, he couldn’t even do that without trying to get a dig in at Democrats and the Biden administration.

However, as we’ve seen so many… MANY times with Republicans who refuse to actually do their homework, Cruz’s attempted dig only ended up backfiring right in his face in what was one of the most hilarious, and I can only imagine downright humiliating call-outs I’ve seen in a good, long time.

While on the stage at the climate conference, surrounded by his GOP cronies, the Texas senator began to run his mouth about Democrat John Kerry, who allegedly traveled to the conference on his private jet.

“John Kerry has a private jet,” Cruz declared from the podium, “that has flown dozens of times this past year all around the country. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have a private jet,” he bragged, before turning to his GOP buddies behind him, gesturing broadly at his fellow Congresspeople, “I don’t believe any of the people on this stage have their own private jet.”

And that’s when it got funny, folks.

Someone from the audience (we’re assuming another congress member, though the individual’s identity or political affiliation is unclear) shouted out and reminded Cruz, “Portman does!”

The individual was referring to Ohio Republican Senator Rob Portman, who does, in fact, own a private jet.

How many times do you people have to be told, you should really do your homework before opening your mouth? You’re doing the hard part for us at this point.
