Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz has found himself at the center of quite a bit of controversy, especially after he headed out on a Cancun vacation earlier this year as his constituents suffered through a freak southern snowstorm that left thousands upon thousands of Texans without electricity, heat, or running water in freezing temperatures. He’s stayed rather relevant in the media cycle lately as he appears to be mulling over a presidential run in 2024.

Now it seems his daughter may be pulling a page from the Conway family playbook as she recently took to her TikTok account and let her followers know what she actually thinks about her father’s controversial, Conservative views.

The Texas Republican senator’s daughter Caroline posted a TikTok in which she talked about the “pros and cons” of having Ted Cruz as a father.

Caroline is apparently fond of the travel perks she gets from her dad’s job, as well as the candy and gifts she says the family often receives in the mail, presumably from Ted’s supporters. However, Cruz’s daughter isn’t quite so keen on some of the other things that come along with her father’s political notoriety.

“Some of the bad things are, I literally have to have security following me everywhere,” Caroline said in her TikTok. “Like, if I want to go on a walk through the neighborhood, like to my friend’s house or something, I have to have, like, two security guards behind me the entire time.”

And then came the good part.

“Also, a lot of people judge me based upon him at first glance,” she added in the short video, “but I really disagree with most of his views.”

The teenager went on to allege in the same video that her Conservative family had edited the length of the shirt she was wearing during family photos that were used on the Christmas cards they sent to Ted’s supporters this year.

“On the Christmas card, they literally made my shirt longer,” Caroline says in the video, pulling up a selfie of her wearing a crop top. “This is how it’s supposed to look.”

It now seems that Caroline’s TikTok has been set to private and we’re unable to verify if the video itself has been deleted, but you can still watch the TikTok on Twitter here:
