Three Suspected Nazis Were Arrested Before Virginia Rally And Trump Is Apparently More Worried About Their Gun Rights

This is just too much.

Things have taken a strange turn in Virginia after Gov. Ralph Northam declared a state of emergency citing credible threats ahead of the Virginia Citizens Defense League’s annual Lobby Day that will host militia groups, conspiracy theorists, and far-right extremists, according to Vox. Gun enthusiasts plan to descend on Richmond while some are in such a frenzy that they are calling for a Civil War. And, of course, Donald Trump injected himself into this scenario, but we’ll get to that in a bit.

Northam is trying to prevent another violent incident like what occurred in Charlottesville when Neo-Nazis were so cranked up, they stormed the city’s streets while chanting Nazi-era slogans. Heather Heyer, an anti-racist protester, was murdered by one of the racist shitheads. Northam wants to stop this sort of thing before it starts.

He wasn’t wrong. So far, six members of a shadowy Neo-Nazi group called “The Base” that glorifies violence have been arrested. At least three of the men had planned to go to the gun rights rally. The group has violent beliefs, like wanting to start a race war. The other three men from the gang plotted to murder an ANTIFA couple. And because irony is dead, The Base translates in Arabic to “Al Qaeda.”

You’re probably wondering where Trump comes in. Well, he’s stirring the pot on Twitter, of course.

Trump is the most divisive “president” ever.

The situation surrounding the upcoming event in Richmond, which is about an hour away from Charlottesville, is tense:

One member of the Virginia General Assembly was so beset by death threats that he is currently staying in a safe house. The organizer of the rally is concerned enough to emphasize on a popular gun site that Monday’s rally is supposed to be a “peaceful event about gun rights and NOTHING ELSE.”

Things are already out of control, so the Democratic Governor is trying to deescalate the situation. Meanwhile, our unhinged “president” continues to divide Americans instead of opting for unity. When the white supremacists marched at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, they did so in Trump’s name. If anything happens in Richmond, it’s all on Trump. He basically promoted the rally, so he owns it. Even worse, he’s probably just trying to distract the public from his impeachment trial.

Unsurprisingly, 83 percent of African Americans think Trump is a racist. Further, they believe he has exacerbated the country’s race problems while in office.
