Since the beginning of this catastrophic pandemic, the guy that’s literally supposed to be leading the nation’s response to COVID-19 has done nothing short of making a complete and total ass out of himself at every given opportunity.
First and foremost, it’s certainly no secret that the man has botched his response to this massive outbreak in every conceivable way. But to add the icing to the already horrendous cake, Trump has made sure to skirt the recommendations of the CDC, WHO, various other health professionals, and even his own Coronvirus Task Force with his blatant refusal to wear a mask, despite the fact that it’s been all but demanded in public, nationwide.
Let us not forget the fiasco with the Ford factory and Michigan’s Attorney General, shall we?
To say the very least, Donald just has not been a good role model for the millions of Americans stuck in the middle of what is a largely preventable mess had Trump just acted with a modicum of sense.

However, none of that really matters to the president.
All Donald has ever and will ever care about is his own image. And frankly, if he had things his way, everyone else would follow suit.
He made that point clear enough today during today’s White House coronavirus press briefing when he not only got a thinly-veiled jab in at 2020 hopeful Joe Biden for wearing a face-covering but also threw one in at a reporter who was questioning him.
Reuters correspondent Jeff Mason questioned Trump regarding a post he retweeted this morning that mocked the former Vice President and Democratic nominee for wearing a mask during a Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremony yesterday.
Trump first answered the question by doubling down on his press secretary’s earlier rhetoric, claiming it didn’t make sense for Biden to wear a face-covering outside, but not inside. He then asked the journalist to remove his face mask, as he allegedly couldn’t hear his questions through the covering.

The reporter responded by saying that he would speak louder, as he didn’t want to remove his mask.
And in true Trump fashion, instead of just accepting Mason’s answer, Donald shot bag with a snarky dig, “You want to be politically correct.”

We’re literally at a point where the President of the United States is making fun of people for following guidelines, regulations, and recommendations in the midst of a literal pandemic.
We can’t get rid of him fast enough.
