According to bombshell reporting from CNN, disgraced ex-President Donald Trump and his extensive legal team have “secretly” submitted a legal brief with the purpose of blocking Trump’s former Vice President Mike Pence from testifying before a grand jury, as Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation gains massive steam, and the ex-president’s fear and desperation grows with each passing development.

In a series of brutal subpoenas handed down by DOJ-appointed Special Counsel Smith — to include the likes of Donald’s former personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, his ex-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and his own eldest daughter Ivanka Trump — Donald’s own former right-hand man was officially compelled to deliver his sworn testimony in relation to the days leading up to and during the infamous, Trump-fueled January 6th attack against the Capitol and the overall efforts to overthrow the 2020 presidential election that Donald brutally lost to Joe Biden.

Trump and his people are absolutely desperate to prevent that sworn testimony from ever happening.

In a filing that came in what was described as “a sealed proceeding” attorneys working on behalf of the scandal-ridden ex-president moved to block former VP Mike Pence from appearing and testifying before a grand jury in the case against Donald Trump.

CNN reports, “It is unclear how long it will take for the sealed proceedings to unfold, but it’s possible that the district court resolves the dispute, or that it will be appealed to a federal appeals court and perhaps, eventually, to the US Supreme Court.”

“Since taking over the DOJ investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election, Smith, who has a reputation for moving quickly, has accelerated the probe’s pace,” the report goes on to add.

While Pence has become more and more comfortable in publicly expressing his disdain for his old boss, the former MAGA vice president continues to stop just short of actually committing to any efforts that would serve to take Donald Trump down, once and for all. Pence has repeatedly made it clear that he has no interest in participating or assisting with any investigations into his old boss’s involvement in the efforts to overturn a US election or his role in the deadly Capitol insurrection — a move on Pence’s part that may serve to bury the former VP under contempt charges before it’s all said and done.
