Donald Trump said on Tuesday during his daily COVID-19 briefing that he would consider suspending funding for the World Health Organization (WHO), as he expressed grievances with the organization’s handling of the massive coronavirus outbreak. Trump is, of course, attempting to shift the blame for his own inadequate response to the pandemic. That’s just what Trump does. The buck never stops with this president.
“They missed the call. They could have called it months earlier. They would have known, and they should have known, and they probably did know,” Trump told reporters at the briefing.
“We’re going to be looking into that very carefully, and we’re going to put a hold on money spent to the WHO,” Trump continued to say. “We’re going to put a very powerful hold on it, and we’re going to see. It’s a great thing if it works, but when they call every shot wrong, that’s not good.”

Twitter users were left wondering what the fuck Trump is doing.
BREAKING: Trump just attacked the World Health Organization and said he’s halting funding to them. During a pandemic. Where we are the hardest hit country. Before we even peak. I can’t. No words.

After Trump was pressed later by a reporter on whether it was a good time to put a hold on funding for the organization during a global pandemic, the president then said he was just considering suspending funding to the WHO.
“I’m not going to say I’m going to do it,” Trump said. “We will look at ending funding.”
Nothing is ever what it seems with this administration, and that’s probably because Trump is never clear in what he’s saying, or even attempting to say. Deflection and blame are a key feature of this godawful and chaotic presidency — after all, the administration had a memo in January and did absolutely nothing to warn Americans of the danger that awaited them. Well, Trump did get a few golf games in, and he held rallies in which he mocked the coronavirus outbreak.
