Trump Caught In A Lie On Intel He Received Regarding Virus Outbreak, Claims Most People Thought It Would Blow Over

BUSTED!

As the criticism against his daily Coronavirus Task Force press briefings quickly mounted in the wake of the disinfectant injections suggestion, Trump is seemingly trying to figure out how to get his face back in front of the camera without completely destroying what little chance at reelection he has left.

As a result, Trump and his White House have gone back and forth on whether or not to hold the pressers, as well as where and how.

Today’s ended up landing on Trump’s “home turf” and featured the addition of GOP Florida mayor, likely to help soften the blow against Donald.

However, it doesn’t particularly matter whether Trump’s in the briefing room, on the White House lawn, or posted up in the Oval Office with someone who’s almost as big an idiot as he is — Donald is full of shit no matter where he goes.

And he was quick to remind us all of that during today’s little debacle.

During his Oval Office press briefing on the coronavirus this afternoon, Trump flat out lied regarding the dire intelligence he received on the life-threatening virus earlier in the year, and instead suggested that most experts actually agreed that the illness would “blow over quickly.”

Jeff Mason, White House correspondent with Reutersposted a tweet during the briefing to report that Trump was asked about an article with the Washington Post that outlined in fine detail the dire warnings Trump was given regarding the potential outbreak of COVID-19 during a presidential intelligence briefing — which Trump obviously blatantly ignored as he continued to try to downplay the severity of the whole ordeal to the public.

Mason’s tweet alleges that Donald responded by claiming that “most people thought earlier this year that the coronavirus was going to blow over” before going on to add that he would have to “check when the early warnings came.”

You can even see the video of his lie:

However, multiple different sources told the Post that Trump most certainly received those early warnings, he just didn’t heed them.

The report states that January’s daily intelligence briefs “traced the virus’s spread around the globe, made clear that China was suppressing information about the contagion’s transmissibility and lethal toll, and raised the prospect of dire political and economic consequences.”

Trump just didn’t have the attention span nor the desire to pay attention to anything that doesn’t fit his narrative.
