President Donald Trump is not a good businessman, and he proved it by telling a Panera Bread executive that losing 50 to 60 percent of their revenue is “not bad.”
Seriously.
Prior to assuming the office, Trump had declared bankruptcy several times, particularly when it came to his casinos. He has also been involved in many failed business ventures, including Trump Steaks, Trump University, and Trump Shuttle, just to name a few.
But Trump campaigned on his business experience and has repeatedly argued that he knows all about economics because he ran businesses.
In reality, he knows how to run businesses into the ground, which is what he has done to the American economy because of his ridiculous trade wars, tax cuts for the wealthy, and his reckless response to the coronavirus pandemic.

During this pandemic, businesses across the country have had to lay off workers and have lost significant revenue, including franchises such as the popular Panera Bread.
During a meeting at the White House, a Panera executive informed Trump that his company has lost 50-60 percent of their revenue. Trump’s response? “That’s not bad!”
Here’s the video:
TRUMP: You lost 50 percent of your revenue, or more than that?

A 50-60 percent loss in revenue is a massive blow to any company, large or small. But Trump is a notoriously terrible businessman whose own ventures often go broke, so maybe he really does think a loss of 50-60 percent is acceptable.
But to real businessmen, it’s not. If Trump was trying to make the Panera executive feel better, he certainly did not succeed.
Twitter users mocked his remark.
The fact that he successfully passed business school should be seen as a permanent stain on the reputation of that school.

NOW do you see how he went bankrupt 6 times?!?!

He’s used to running businesses into the ground. So 50% loss is basically turning a profit to him.

The math department at Trump University was severely underfunded.

This is why the business community should no longer support Trump. Because if he can’t recognize that a 50-60 percent loss is bad news, he has no business being responsible for our nation’s economy.
