Donald Trump’s big Bible stunt apparently did not buy him brownie points with the Evangelical crowd that he’s frankly banking on to even stand a chance at carrying him through to an election victory in November.
Evangelical Pastor Loran Livingston at the Central Church of North Carolina in Charlotte went viral this week with his scathing diatribe against the scandal-plagued and felony-ridden former president and his “disgusting” $60 “God Bless America Bible” that he hawked over Holy Week in an attempt to pay down some mounting legal fees and fines — including his hush money trial for paying off a porn star he allegedly had an affair with that’s currently underway in Manhattan.
Trump released an infomercial-style video on his Truth Social platform to launch the pricey Holy Books that come complete with a bundle of the founding documents and a lyric sheet for his MAGA anthem, Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless The USA” — who has formally and thoroughly endorsed the MAGA-themed Bibles himself.
The move was, of course, viciously and rightfully mocked by everyone on the Left, including the media and President Joe Biden himself. But, apparently, the stunt didn’t sit well with some of the target audience either.

Central Church of North Carolina’s fiercely evangelical preacher Loran Livingston went viral across both TikTok and X (formerly known as Twitter) for his fire-and-brimstone rant that thoroughly demolished the ex-president’s “disgusting” Bible, calling the stunt a “cheap ploy,” among many other choice things:
When you don’t read and pray. You, you say, “Wow, there’s a Bible out now that includes the Constitution and the Bill of rights! Isn’t that wonderful?”.
No, no. It’s disgusting! It’s blasphemous! It’s a ploy! Are you kidding me? Some of you are so encouraged by that. Let me tell you something. The gospel is not an American gospel! It is the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!
“But, pastor, I bought the Bible!”.
Really? You’re telling me? That you’re encouraged because someone took a government US Constitution, a document. That says. We are of the people, by the people and for the people, the people, the people, the people!
And you have put it right beside the Word of God, which is eternal, unchanging, which says of him, by him, through him, to him, from him are all things. And you’re going to put those together and be happy about it? God forbid!
Now you can get mad if you want to, but I’m going to tell you something. If you glory in that kind of thing, you don’t have a prayer life.
If you glory in that kind of mess. Political mess. You do not know what the Word of God says.
However, before you go praising this guy as a martyr for the Left, just know that a few hot seconds before he went full fire-and-brimstone of the weird Trump Bible, he openly trashed “the whole LGBTQ thing” and referred to abortion as “premeditated murder.”
