Earlier this week, President Donald Trump gave an interview to reporters from Time Magazine, in which he discussed a wide range of issues, including the war in Iran, his banishment of media outlets from the White House, his elaborate White House renovations, and more.

Things got contentious, however, when reporters asked Trump how he feels about his longtime nemesis, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), returning to the U.S. Senate after his hospitalization earlier this year. Midway through his answer, Trump grew angry about the tenor of the questions.

“It was a disappointment to a lot of Republicans. So that’s just—well, Sleepy Joe gave pardons to everybody. He gave them to Fauci. He gave them to this. But you mean I’m not allowed to give them, but Sleepy Joe’s allowed to give them? This ain’t gonna be much of a story,” Trump  said in the interview.

“Here we are doing this. You haven’t asked me one fucking positive question. All of this. What about this? What about that? What about that? What about this? All negative. Why are you devoting all this time to the White House? You know how I do, I do that out of my back pocket. I pay for a lot of it, but I fix it because the White House should look like that. It shouldn’t look like—if you would have stood in that balcony and looked at that wall, half the wall was falling. It’s actually dangerous.”

Trump went on to get angry that he hadn’t been asked any questions about Venezuela.

The president went on to take a shot at Barack Obama, in speaking of China’s President Xi remarking on how the White House looks compared to his past visits. Trump declared, “think Obama knows it? Obama would not. He doesn’t know if something’s dirty or clean.”
