With health officials and government leaders urging people to not gather in groups during the coronavirus pandemic, Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. is urging five thousand students to return to campus in Lynchburg, Virginia even though there are 254 cases of COVID-19 reported state-wide — and despite the fact that Gov. Ralph Northam ordered Virginia schools to be closed for the rest of the school year.
Of course, Northam’s order applies only to all K-12 schools in the state.
To give a middle finger to the practice of social distancing, and perhaps seeing the benefit of more religious dollars rolling in, Falwell Jr. plans to own the libs by allowing his students to possibly die from coronavirus. It’s not just students, according to Richmond.com, but the Liberty U president has also directed faculty members to continue to report to campus even as most classes move online.
Falwell said during an interview on Sunday night that between several hundred to more than 5,000 students are expected to live in campus dorms, where they will continue coursework online rather than in classrooms, and we’re sure that will work out swimmingly.

The news outlet reports that hundreds of professors and instructors without a valid health exemption are expected to go to campus to hold office hours.
“I think we have a responsibility to our students — who paid to be here, who want to be here, who love it here — to give them the ability to be with their friends, to continue their studies, enjoy the room and board they’ve already paid for and to not interrupt their college life,” Falwell said.

The threat of the coronavirus became more immediate for the Lynchburg region this weekend when the Virginia Department of Health announced cases in Amherst and Bedford counties. Statewide, as of Monday evening, more than 250 people have contracted the disease and seven have died.”
In contrast to other educational institutions, Liberty University’s dorms, academic buildings, library, and fitness center will remain open to students. Or, as we call them, Petri dishes. Similarly, Trump has been suggesting an end to the practice of social distancing while Americans are continuing to die from the COVID-19 outbreak. Republicans have become a death cult.
