Trump May Have Made A Bad Call Moving Forward With NRA Speech After Twitter Buried Him In Mockery Over Photos That Appeared To Show Humiliatingly Dismal Crowd Size

You screwed up, buddy.

Not only did ex-President Donald Trump willingly choose to spit in the face of every single victim of the Uvalde. TX elementary school shooting and their families, when he chose to move forward with attending the National Rifle Association convention just 72 hours after and less than 300 miles away from the Robb Elementary School mass murder, he did so proudly. He bragged. He wanted everyone to know that the 2nd Amendment means far more to him than the lives of 19 innocent babies and 2 beloved teachers after an 18-year-old high school dropout turned gunman with an AR-15 assault rifle claimed their lives far too soon.

Before he even headed for Houston, Trump sat for a phone interview the day before the event, with far-right radio host Sebastian Gorka, who once served in Trump’s administration and has deep ties to the far alt-Right, and openly bragged, “I’m making a speech tomorrow at the NRA in Huston and it’ll be very interesting.”

Interesting. That’s how he described delivering a speech to a room full of gun nuts after yet another mass school shooting in this country. Interesting.

Once he got on stage, the bragging only deepened, as the one-term, twice-impeached former president took a clear-cut, thinly-veiled jab at the people who decided to cancel their appearance at the NRA convention out of respect for the victims and their families — most notably seeming to hit out at Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott, when he bragged to the crowd, “Unlike some, I didn’t disappoint you by not showing up. Gotta show up. Gotta show up.”

But based on photos that are quickly spreading like wildfire all over social media, it looks like Trump may have not made the best call by “showing up unlike some,” as the pictures seem to show a pretty damn dismal crowd size for his big NRA speech:

Instead of all the love and admiration we’re sure Donald was expecting and hoping for, he got buried by Twitter instead:

The world is done with you, Trump. This might have just been the icing on the cake.
