Trump Noticeably Hasn’t Rallied For GA’s Biggest Embarrassment And The GOP Runoff Candidate Is Seemingly Struggling To Explain: “He’s Been Doing Other Things For Me”

Georgia state’s biggest embarrassment, Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker, is currently embroiled in a tight race with his Democratic opponent, incumbent Reverend and Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock — which will come to a final head next week, as the two face off in the state’s runoff election.

But despite the serious uphill battle that Walker is currently facing, his support crew has noticeably lacked one key, very prominent figure of the Republican Party — former President Donald Trump.

There’s no denying that Donald Trump loves himself a good old-fashioned political rally. However, as Herschel Walker faces down the impending runoff election, with the support of the likes of Georgia’s highly-controversial Republican Governor Brian Kemp, the New York Times couldn’t help but make note of the fact that Donald Trump will not be heading on down to Georgia to hold one of those rallies in support of Herschel Walker.

None other than Fox host Laura Ingraham decided to confront Walker about this fact during a recent segment of The Ingraham Angle, where the Right-wing talking head asked Walker, “Herschel, why is it that that President Trump is not coming to have a rally in this last week before the final election day?” while openly reminding Walker (or perhaps just rubbing it in his face) that his Democratic incumbent opponent is being heavily supported on the campaign trail by former US President Barack Obama.

In true Herschel Walker fashion, the serial adulterer and Texan seemingly struggling to give any semblance of a viable answer to that question.

“You know, President Trump has always been in my corner, he still is in my corner and he’s been doing other things for me and everyone has been doing a lot of things for me,” Walker answered. “Tonight we got out of a fundraiser with Governor Kemp that a lot of people that was at the fundraiser and President Trump is doing just as much for me.”

In what seemed to be an effort to quickly change the subject, Walker wasted no time in pivoting to an attack against Warnock for accepting donations from celebrities.

“President Obama is a celebrity and that seems to be where Raphael Warnock is getting his money from, celebrities,” Walker ranted. “He’s not going to win this race. I told people before he may outraise me in money, but I guarantee you he won’t get more votes than I’m going to get.”

According to the Times report, there’s actually a reason for Trump’s avoidance of publicly tying himself to the likes of Herschel Walker, and it has to do with the fact that the former president is already on the brink of political death. NYT reported that Donald Trump and Georgia Republicans agreed some time ago that the scandal-ridden ex-president shouldn’t hold a campaign rally in Walker’s name, as it ran a high risk of motivating a higher turnout of Democratic voters while simultaneously turning off moderate Republicans — something neither Walker nor Trump can afford right now.
