Trump Opens Event In Kenosha By Telling Attendees “If You Feel More Comfortable” You “Might Want To Take The Masks Off, Otherwise You Can Leave Them On”

He is painfully stupid.

The United States is now suffering through a number of national crises, and as usual, Donald Trump did the exact opposite of what he should do with two of those crises. Trump, on Tuesday, took a look at the damage caused by the civil unrest in Kenosha, WI, blasting “anti-American” riots and promising to help devastated businesses rebuild. What Trump hasn’t done, however, is reach out to the Black community. As white people, it’s our time to listen to Black people because we can’t fully comprehend what they have gone through. Instead, Trump has been fanning the flames of division.

Jacob Blake’s family has said they have absolutely no interest in meeting Trump during his scheduled visit to Kenosha. Blake, a Black father, was shot in the back by police seven times, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.

“President Trump is a racist who stokes racial tensions. He has been stirring racial tensions since he got in the White House. Why, as Jacob’s uncle, would I want to talk to him? Our focus is on Jacob and healing the community,” Justin Blake said.

Now, for Trump’s next trick, he was featured at an event in Kenosha amid the raging pandemic, and let attendees know that’s it’s cool if they want to take their protective face masks off.

Watch:

As president, Trump should lead by example, and yet, he has only worn a face mask publicly a couple of times. Over one hundred and eighty-four thousand Americans have died from the COVID-19 pandemic on his watch. Over six million Americans have contracted the disease, and still, to this day, Trump tries to paint a rosy picture of the coronavirus. Trump surrendered to the coronavirus without even putting up a fight, and yet he wants to portray himself as the strongman.

What an incredibly weak president to tell Americans to take their masks off if it would make them more comfortable. Trump has made it obvious that we do not have a leader while we face multiple crises.
