Trump Portrays Himself As Five-Star General In AI Images—And Backlash Erupts

Five stars he never earned

The United States has produced exactly five five-star generals in its entire history, a list Trump apparently decided needed one more name.

Friday’s Truth Social post did the honors. The image shows Trump in full military dress, five stars pinned to his cap, a Medal of Honor around his neck, and a chest full of service ribbons, walking past an American flag flanked by military police.

There’s just one issue. Trump has never spent a single day in uniform.

Political strategist Rick Wilson quickly weighed in on X. “What a pathetic dipshit,” he wrote, sharing the image with his followers.

The post soon made its way across X.

This kind of image isn’t a first for Trump.

Back in August, he posted a different AI image placing himself alongside World War II commanders George Patton and Douglas MacArthur, wearing four stars while both men appeared with fewer. In reality, MacArthur held five stars and Patton held four. Trump held neither rank, having secured five draft deferments during Vietnam, four for college and one tied to a disputed bone spur diagnosis.
