Trump Responds To Chris Cuomo’s CNN Suspension With All The Arrogant Gloating We’ve Come To Expect From Him: “Great News For Television Viewers”

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday evening gloated over the announcement from CNN that anchor Chris Cuomo would be placed on an “indefinite suspension.” The twice impeached one-term president called the move “great news for television viewers” while speculating whether it had any link to ratings because, of course, he did. His spokesperson Liz Harrington tweeted Trump’s statement to circumvent his ban on the behemoth social media platform after he incited the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection.

“Great news for television viewers, they have just suspended Chris Cuomo indefinitely!” the former president said in his statement. “The big question is, was it because of his horrendous ratings, which in all fairness have permeated CNN and MSDNC, or was it because his brother is no longer Governor? Probably both. In any event, Fredo is gone!”

You can read his childish statement below.

Following new revelations about his involvement in the harassment case against his brother, former N.Y. Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the CNN anchor, was suspended indefinitely on Tuesday.

“The New York Attorney General’s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense,” CNN said in a statement on Tuesday evening.

If either of the Cuomo brothers did something wrong, they should be held accountable. The same logic should apply to Donald J. Trump, who is no longer protected by the presidency. And while Trump wants to talk about ratings, he’s been deplatformed on social media across the board for his actions that led to the riots at the U.S. Capitol. And we all saw this coming. Trump holds a grudge like no one ever, and Cuomo was a frequent critic of the former president. Trump supporters should be embarrassed by the former president’s statement, but I’m not so sure that they are capable of that.
