These days the news cycle seems to be full of various reports on the very real possibility that Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisellberg may soon flip on disgraced ex-president Donald Trump in the criminal investigations currently lodged against him in an effort to try to save his own skin and that of his children. Add that to the fact that multiple reports have also indicated that indictments will likely soon start coming down, with the possibility of Weisselberg’s indictment coming as early as this summer, and the situation is looking as though it’s getting pretty serious.

Now, it seems that the former “leader” of the free world is starting to truly realize the gravity of it all and he’s apparently taking that old saying, “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” straight to the heart.

According to a new report from the Washington Post, the ex-president has been ditching his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club lately to instead remain present at Trump Tower near his organization’s CFO.

Just last week, the New York Times released a bombshell report claiming that Weisselberg’s indictment on a variety of tax issues could be coming down the pike in a matter of just a few short months. On the heels of that new analysis, the Washington Post reported that Weisellberg’s blue Mercedes careened into the Trump Tower private garage, just about 40 minutes after Trump showed up.

“Every day that Weisselberg arrives for work at Trump Tower — as he did that day, steering in from his Upper West Side apartment across town — could be seen as a public signal that he is sticking with Trump and deflecting investigators’ advances,” the Post reports.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office recently convened a special grand jury that’s set to meet three times a week for six months in total, a significantly longer span than your typical grand jury, leading us to believe that there’s a whole lot of evidence that they’re going to be pouring through.

Weisselberg’s own former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Weisselberg, has made several public appearances in recent weeks and months to talk not only about her own cooperation in the investigations but to theorize that there’s simply no way her former father-in-law won’t eventually flip on the ex-president as prosecutors turn up the heat. Jennifer doesn’t seem to think there’s a chance in Hell that Allen will be willing to spend the rest of his life in prison for Donald Trump.

“Yet officials involved in the Weisselberg investigation have grown frustrated about what they view as a lack of cooperation from Weisselberg and believe he continues to regularly speak with Trump, according to a person familiar with the inquiry,” the WaPo report reads.
