Oh, we can only imagine what's coming next.

Donald Trump kicked off his Friday morning bragging about Attorney General William Barr’s Department of Justice announcing plans to drop charges against the president’s disgraced former national security adviser, Michael Flynn. And Flynn, who has become a hero with Trump’s MAGA followers, pled guilty twice to the federal crime of lying to the FBI. Barr is seemingly making that illegal transgression OK now, as the Trump administration eradicates norms in the US at a furious rate. Flynn admitted his guilt twice in court, by the way.

“Yesterday was a BIG day for Justice in the USA. Congratulations to General Flynn, and many others,” Trump tweeted. “I do believe there is MUCH more to come! Dirty Cops and Crooked Politicians do not go well together!”

“DRAIN THE SWAMP!” the president added, which in Trump-speak means fill the swamp.

The Daily Beast reports that officials close to the president are already gaming out ways to bring the former national security adviser back onto the national political stage, and they are comparing Flynn to civil rights icon Nelson Mandela.

On Thursday, Trump tried to blame the Obama administration, who he referred to as “scum,” for the Flynn case. Still, it was President IMAX who fired his national security adviser in 2017 for lying to vice president Mike Pence. And it was under the Trump administration that Flynn was charged after he had lied to FBI investigators about his pre-inauguration contacts with the Russian ambassador.

So, when Trump offers the ominous warning of “more to come,” we should prepare for more swampy actions by the Trump administration. At this point, Trump issuing posthumous pardons for Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, and John Wayne Gacy wouldn’t surprise anyone. It’s as if Trump wakes up each morning and wonders, “What shitty thing can I do today?”
