Former First Lady Michelle Obama opened up about how she has been feeling this year, and it’s been particularly hard for her on an emotional level as she revealed she has been suffering from depression. And, of course, Trump supporters cruelly responded.
One out of every three Americans is currently suffering from depression as the coronavirus pandemic rages on. Over 160,000 Americans are dead and that number is set to double by December.
In addition, racial injustice continues to plague our nation and Donald Trump has not done a single thing to address the issue, nor has he done anything to deal with the pandemic.
It’s no wonder then why Michelle Obama is fighting depression right now, which she talked about earlier this week.
“I’m waking up in the middle of the night because I’m worrying about something, or there’s a heaviness,” Obama said. “These are not the fulfilling times, spiritually. I know that I am dealing with some form of low-grade depression. Not just because of the quarantine, but because of the racial strife, and just seeing this administration, watching the hypocrisy of it, day in and day out, is dispiriting.”

Indeed, Trump has only exacerbated both problems while blaming anybody but himself for his failures.

You can have everything good in this world and still suffer depression. You can also have all the money in the world and still be depressed. It’s a fallacy to believe that people who have money are happy all the time. Obama empathizes with those who are suffering from the coronavirus and racial injustice, problems that Trump has the power to tackle but refuses to do so.
The Obamas have also never committed a crime, so saying she belongs in prison is pure hatred. And the Obamas have made it quite clear over the years that they are better Christians than Trump or any of his cult followers will ever be.
If anything, Trump supporters are demonstrating that they are racists and will kiss their dear leader’s ass no matter what he does and have no clue how depression works.
