Trump, When Asked Why Black Americans Are Being Killed By Law Enforcement, Responds With: “So Are White People. What A Terrible Question To Ask. More People, By The Way”

This is disgusting.

Frankly, Donald Trump has done a damn good job lately at showing this entire nation that he’s every bit as racist as we’ve been trying to warn everyone he is.

The guy has never been… Not racist. However, the recent murder of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor has reignited the Black Lives Matter movement with the passion of a thousand fiery suns as they take to the streets in protest against systemic racism and police brutality in this nation.

It has also reignited Trump’s flippant attitude toward the Black community and fired up his disgustingly and blatantly racist underbelly for us all to see once again, as his MAGA supporters follow behind him like puppies begging for a scratch and a free for all to make the KKK an everyday norm again.

And based on what Donald Trump just had to say, if things don’t change soon, they may get their way after all.

Today, Trump sat down for a one on one interview with CBS News senior investigative correspondent Catherine Herridge and called the killing of George Floyd “terrible” but quickly seemed to get his feathers in quite the ruffle when he was questioned as to why Black Americans are “still dying at the hands of law enforcement in this country.”

“Why are African Americans still dying at the hands of law enforcement in this country?” Herridge asked the president.

And Donald’s answer, while it was textbook racist Trump, was enough to make your stomach churn.

“So are White people. So are White people. What a terrible question to ask. So are White people,” Trump shot back in response to the question. “More White people, by the way. More White people.”

Trump also went on, during the interview, to unsurprisingly defend the display of the Confederate flag as “freedom of speech.”

So, what are the facts behind Trump’s disgusting statement?

According to Snopes, “More white people are killed in police shootings than black Americans, but overall white people are statistically less likely to be killed by police than black people.” It’s actually pretty simple math: If one racial group were as likely as the next to be killed, then the percentage of deaths at the hands of cops would match the percentage of the US population that racial group makes up. Black people make up just 13 percent of the population, but account for 28 percent of such deaths.

Black people are targets and Donald Trump is racist trash.

Period.
