Trump Will Probably Lose His Mind After Mitch McConnell Did The Unthinkable And Praised President Biden For Kentucky Disaster Response

Trump isn't going to like this.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) took to Twitter to praise President Joe Biden for his response to the deadly tornados that ripped across numerous states this weekend, including Kentucky. Former President Donald Trump isn’t going to like it since McConnell has been a favorite target ever since the Kentucky Republican called him out for the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection. So, put Biden and McConnell together, and he’s going to lose his mind.

McConnell thanked Biden for his administration’s quick work to get resources for the devastated state.

In March of last year, the twice-impeached one-term president said that increased federal funding to help states recover from coronavirus is unfair to Republicans “because all the states that need help — they’re run by Democrats in every case.” He suggested that coronavirus aid to states should be conditioned on adopting his policy priorities.

Trump was asked last year what more he wants the governors to do. It was, he said, “very simple: I want them to be appreciative.” Biden doesn’t just want to help blue states. He is the president of all of the states.

Trump, of course, lashed out at McConnell again on Monday.

Gov. Andy Beshear said that he wasn’t sure what the cost would be for the state.

“I don’t have yet an estimate on damages, but it’s in the hundreds of millions of dollars at least,” Beshear told CNBC during a storm update.

“Again, whatever the cost. I know our federal partners are there with us. We will spare no expense by the state,” he said.
