Donald Trump has always talked about bringing jobs back to America. He says that China is taking away American jobs and hurting our economy. But here’s the shocking truth: Trump is selling Bibles made in China. Yes, the same man who says he will bring jobs back from China is profiting from selling Bibles made there. Trump’s “God Bless the USA” Bible is a special edition of the King James Bible. It includes patriotic symbols like the U.S. Constitution and the lyrics to “God Bless America.” But these Bibles, according to a report from the Associated Press, cost less than $3 to make in China, and Trump is selling them in the U.S. for $59.99.
Even more outrageous, there are special editions that go for $1,000. These Bibles are being made by a company in Hangzhou, China, a fact that directly contradicts Trump’s promise to end U.S. reliance on Chinese manufacturing. As Trump has said many times, “We can’t continue to allow China to rape our country — and that’s what they’re doing,” he said at a May 2016 campaign rally. “It’s the greatest theft in the history of the world.”
Trumps past businesses, including his clothing line, were also made overseas in countries like China, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. Despite calling for “Made in America” goods, Trump’s businesses have often depended on cheap labor from other countries. For example, in 2016, Trump’s famous red “Make America Great Again” hats were also found to be made in China. It’s a pattern that repeats itself, no matter what Trump says on the campaign trail. While he promises to stand up for American workers, his business actions tell a different story.
When Trump first ran for president in 2016, he promised to save American manufacturing. But during his time in office, the U.S. actually lost over 180,000 manufacturing jobs. His tariffs on China didn’t help American workers, and many factories still closed.

According to financial reports, Trump made $300,000 from selling these “God Bless the USA” Bibles. He has partnered with Lee Greenwood, the singer of the famous song “God Bless the USA,” to sell them. Despite being promoted as a patriotic product, the Bibles are made by a Chinese company, which makes this a clear case of hypocrisy.
Trump has said in the past, “We will stop China from taking advantage of us.” But now he is taking advantage of cheap Chinese labor to make a profit off the very country he criticizes. Trump’s words and actions don’t match. If voters want real change for American workers, they should look beyond Trump’s empty promises and see the truth: Trump is more interested in making money than in helping American workers.
