President Donald Trump recently stunned the internet with his over-the-top praise for Barron Trump, turning a simple moment into an unexpected spectacle.

The reason? Barron, 19, managed to turn his laptop back on after his father shut it down. That’s it.

Trump shared this mind-blowing revelation during an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle this past Wednesday, the day before Barron’s birthday.

“He can look at a computer… I turn off his laptop, I said, ‘Oh good,’ and I go back about five minutes later, he’s got his laptop, I say, ‘How do you do that?’” Trump said, clearly amazed. “He’s got an unbelievable aptitude in technology.”

Pause for a second. Let that sink in.

A 19-year-old turned his laptop back on. To Trump, this was proof of an advanced technological mind.

“Barron’s a very smart guy,” Trump added.

As expected, social media exploded. Some were confused. Others were in tears—of laughter.

And honestly? That’s good advice. Political campaigns are changing. Traditional media is losing power. Young voters aren’t glued to cable news—they’re on YouTube, TikTok, and podcasts. If Trump listens to Barron, he might tap into an audience other politicians ignore.

For those who don’t follow the Trump family saga, Barron is the youngest of Donald Trump’s five children. He’s currently a freshman at New York University’s Stern School of Business, and compared to his older siblings—Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany—he’s stayed out of the spotlight.

But that’s changing.

In recent months, Barron has been making more public appearances. Some even wonder if he will be more prominent in Trump’s political future. After all, his father thinks he’s a tech genius.

Of course, Barron wasn’t the only one to receive praise. During the interview, Trump also spoke highly of all his children, saying they were “very smart” and “always good students.”

Now, exaggeration is Trump’s second language, but to be fair, his older children have all been involved in business and politics. Ivanka worked in the White House, Eric and Don Jr. help run the Trump Organization, and Tiffany—who holds a law degree—has been a public supporter.

“I’m lucky,” Trump added. “Look, you have to be a little bit lucky, too.”

It’s no secret that Trump isn’t the most tech-savvy guy. The fact that he finds it astonishing that Barron can turn on a laptop? That says a lot.
