Trump’s Reportedly Headed To The Alabama-Georgia Game—And He Has An Unusual Food Request For His Gameday Meal

His food request for this game is something else.

Former President is a fast-food addict who has a predilection for hamberders (ha-ha). We’ve seen several photos of him stuffing his face with Burger King or McDonald’s, the ever-present Diet Coke by his side. But he also has a real fondness for pizza and because he will be attending Saturday’s Alabama-Tuscaloosa football game after being invited by Alabama businessman Ric Mayers, he’s made some unusual lunch requests.

“I like a good steak,’’ Mayers told AL.com, “but President Trump’s (food preferences) are as mundane as it gets.”

I don’t know if “mundane” is the right choice of words, but his food selection falls under the category of “Holy f**k that’s a lot of food!”

The former president ordered two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches with cheese from McDonald’s, stadium hotdogs, Domino’s Pizza, and Diet Coke, according to Mayers. That’s one hell of a cholesterol extravaganza, but I guess Trump doesn’t care. But Trump has requested McDonald’s from time to time while visiting Alabama, state GOP officials say.

Quite obviously the former president, who constantly relies on fast food, doesn’t care much about his health.

In 2016 at a CNN town hall, he told Anderson Cooper that the fish sandwich was his favorite McDonald’s meal. But then he added something that was a bit odd, because fast food is always greasy no matter what.

“I’m a very clean person. I like cleanliness,” Trump told Cooper, adding this is why he eats fast food while traveling.

“I think you’re better off going there than someplace that you maybe have no idea where the food is coming from. It’s a certain standard. But I think the food is good,” he said.

Then there was the time Trump hosted the Clemson Tigers at the White House to celebrate their 2019 national championship win. Trump told the press he was serving the team McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King. He boasted that he paid for the meals himself due to the government shutdown at the time.

Trump also, a short while later, welcomed the Football Championship Subdivision champions, the North Dakota State Bison, serving them Big Macs and Chick-fil-A sandwiches.

Trump will have lots of company at Saturday’s game. Alabama U.S. Sens. Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville (who is a fool for Trump 24/7) will be sitting in the box with Trump. So will ALGOP Chairman John Wahl, other state-level Republican officials, and Mayers’ family and friends.

Mayers proposed the idea of the ex-president attending the game to one of Trump’s sons during a trip to Mar-a-Lago, where Mayers is a member. Trump was in the midst of a rally elsewhere.

“I said, ‘It will be the biggest game of the year and he’s going to walk in there to 100,000 fans screaming, ‘Trump, Trump, Trump’ or ‘Fight, Fight, Fight,’’’ Mayers said. “It will be amazing to have that experience.”

Will they all be cheering, really? We know Trump has had a history of being booed, so maybe not everyone will be happy to see him. I’m guessing only the wealthy, like Mayers for instance, will be heaping praise on the former president.

Judging by the posts that followed this one by MLFootball, Trump will receive more than a few boos. We hope so anyway.
