While Donald Trump’s Ukraine scandal is exploding following ousted Ukraine ambassador Yovanovitch’s damning testimony, another tidbit of information was just added to the “president’s” pile of controversial and self-serving behavior. As it happens, Trump, who recently criticized the corruption in Ukraine, previously sought business arrangements in the country. And, of course, two of his adult children are involved.
Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump traveled to Ukraine in 2006 to meet with government officials about building a multimillion-dollar hotel and golf course in the country, and then in 2008, Don Jr. traveled back to the Ukraine meet with developers, according to Politico. Of course, Junior and his father have blasted Joe Biden for son doing business in a foreign country but here we are with another classic case of Trump’s projection skills which are at the level of an IMAX theater.
“It’s very important to talk about corruption,” Trump said in September. “If you don’t talk about corruption, why would you give money to a country that you think is corrupt?”
The White House responded to the outlet to say that any past Ukrainian business dealings have nothing to do with Trump’s foreign policy.

“As he announced in January 2017, President Donald Trump is not involved in the day-to-day operations of the Trump Organization, and he does not take any action that benefits him personally,” White House spokesman Judd Deere told Politico. “While House Democrats continue to spread false rumors in complete denial that the president was a successful businessman for decades, President Trump continues to keep his promises to the American people.”
While Trump and Don Jr. have lashed out at Hunter Biden for doing business as a Biden, that is exactly what Junior has been doing.
“I wish my name was Hunter Biden,” Trump Jr. said on Fox News in a recent interview. “I could go abroad and make millions off my father’s presidency. I’d be a really rich guy.”
Junior has to be the least self-aware person on Earth. Meanwhile, Donald Trump used his Twitter account this morning to urge his 66.5 million followers to buy his son’s book. “My son, @DonaldJTrumpJr is coming out with a new book, “Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us” – available tomorrow, November 5th!” he tweeted. “A great new book that I highly recommend for ALL to read. Go order it today!”
You can’t make this stuff up.
