Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex) was apparently taking a nap as President Joe Biden detailed his immigration policy in his first address to Congress. Maybe Cruz was dreaming of sunny Cancun, Mexico; who knows. A video clip shows Cruz struggling to keep his eyes open as the President discussed immigration reform.
While Cruz appeared to be nodding off, President Biden can be heard saying, “If you actually want to solve a problem, I’ve sent a bill to take a close look at it.” In response to the video clip going viral, Cruz tweeted, #BoringButRadical.” This is just disrespectful, but we didn’t expect anything more from the Texas Republican. And it’s kind of weird that Republicans call the President “Sleepy Joe.”

There was nothing “radical” about President Biden’s speech unless Cruz considers it radical to help struggling Americans amid the raging pandemic. Cruz didn’t seem to mind when Biden’s predecessor failed to address the pandemic when the former president first learned of the looming threat. And the former president dancing to YMCA while Americans were dying seemed to be OK with Cruz, too. At any rate, this was probably just another one of Cruz’s stunts to own the libs.
