Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been working himself up into quite the tizzy ever since the House of Representatives wrapped up their portion of Donald Trump’s formal impeachment proceedings and voted to officially impeach him. After the House’s portion was completed, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made the decision to take her time on passing the impeachment articles over to the Senate where the process of actual removal from office takes place after a United States president has been formally impeached — an effort on the House Speaker’s part to ensure that all of Trump’s transgressions have been wrapped in a pretty bow before handoff and to hopefully ensure that the Senate actually conducts a fair trial rather than the hack job joke McConnell and Trump have been vying for.
Evidently, this decision has gotten “Moscow” Mitch’s knickers in a bit of a twist, as it seems he wants to get on with his sham trial and illegally and immorally “clear” Donald’s name as quickly and painlessly as possible.
However, if there’s ever been a single soul on Capitol Hill that you’re really and truly better off not fucking with, it’s Nancy Pelosi.
Trump himself has found this out the hard way on more than one occasion (we’ve all seen the memes) and now it seems the Senate Majority Leader is up to bat next — and Nancy is swattin’ his ass down just as quick as ever.

In a last-ditch attempt to force the House Speaker’s hand in turning over the impeachment articles on his timeline, Mitch tried to tell Pelosi that he would pass unsavory bills in the Senate if she didn’t give him what he wanted, and soon.
But Nancy Pelosi doesn’t back down from the “president” of the United States and she’s sure as hell not going to back down from the likes of Mitch McConnell.
In a presser this afternoon, Nancy made it very clear that she would be handing over the impeachment articles when, and only when, she was ready to — which she did indicate she felt would be soon.
She then went on to make it crystal clear to the Senate Majority Leader who seemed to think he’d bully his way to the top that she gives absolutely zero fucks about his threats.
After telling the press that she felt she was close to delivering the articles, she turned to the subject of Mitch.
“You know, he said, ‘If you don’t send them over I’m gonna pass a US, Mexico, Canada trade agreement,'” Pelosi stated as she began to laugh.
“Okay,” she continued with a hilariously sarcastic tone, a shake of her head, and a hearty laugh.
“But uh, no, we want to see what they’re willing to do. And the manner in which we do it. But will NOT let them say ‘this is just like Clinton. Fair is fair.’ It’s not. Documents, documentation, witnesses, facts, truth — that’s what they’re afraid of,” the House Speaker concluded.
