Late last night, news broke that both President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for the potentially deadly coronavirus. Since the reports hit the public, Trump released a statement on Twitter last night confirming the news and Melania followed with a similar tweet this morning. Both of them appeared to be in high spirits based on the content of their tweets. However, as the day has progressed, it seems as though Trump may not be in good shape.
People quickly noticed that Trump, typically an avid tweeter, had not visited his social media account since his announcement last night. Reports indicated that Vice President Mike Pence participated in a scheduled call in Trump’s stead, and information about Trump’s symptoms have been slowly trickling out all day — leading many to believe that Trump’s health is rapidly declining as a result of the virus.
Now, new breaking reports have indicated that Trump is, in fact, headed to Walter Reed Military Medical Center:
