If you’ve been wondering why you haven’t been seeing Dr. Anthony Fauci on your television screen talking about the coronavirus, it turns out that Donald Trump is reportedly blocking him from making any appearances because he’s afraid of looking bad as the pandemic escalates.
More than 2.5 million Americans are infected by the virus and nearly 130,000 have died as the number of cases skyrockets across the country, especially in red states such as Texas, Arizona and Florida, which recently recorded the highest number of cases in a single day at almost 10,000.
This is all occurring even as Trump and his administration pretend that the country is moving past the crisis.
Part of the pretending apparently involves keep health experts such as Fauci off television.

According to the Washington Post:
The White House has blocked Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s top infectious-disease expert and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, from some appearances that he has requested to do in recent weeks, according to two people familiar with the matter. White House aides have argued that television interviewers often try to goad Fauci into criticizing the president or the administration’s approach, and that Fauci is not always good about ‘staying on message,’ in the words of a senior administration official.”
Keeping Fauci from informing the American public is just another reckless and incompetent decision on top of all the reckless and incompetent decisions Trump made that got us into this mess in the first place.
An angry epidemiologist slammed Trump for blocking the infectious disease expert from making television appearances.

Americans need to hear from Fauci more than they need to hear from Trump or Mike Pence. While Trump and his cronies are denying the reality of this pandemic, Fauci is not and would likely tell the truth. Of course, we all know Trump hates the truth because it always makes him look bad. But he only has himself to blame — if he had not ignored this virus back in January or February, we would have been much better off. But Trump failed to listen to the scientists as usual and he is only doubling down on that approach, thus ensuring that more Americans get sick and die.
