Jim Jordan Received An Embarrassing Lesson From Twitter Users After Screwing Up Basic U.S. History

We are truly living in the dumbest timeline.

Like most Republicans these days, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) appears to be resistant to vaccinations for COVID-19 even though Americans have been getting vaccinated since the 1850s. On Monday, though, Jordan didn’t seem to be aware of the history of vaccinations in the U.S. “Vaccine mandates are un-American,” Jordan tweeted.

I guess Jordan thinks George Washington was un-American, too, then. As PolitiFact notes, George Washington mandated smallpox vaccines for the Continental Army. We certainly didn’t expect the Ohio Republican to tweet something factual about the spreading disease since his party has not taken it seriously since its onset last year.

Twitter users pounced.

These things are easy to Google, so either Jordan is lying to spread the disease intentionally, or he’s one dumb motherfucker. Or both.
