Ladies, gentlemen, and nonbinary friends, I truly believe Donald J. Trump is officially losing his shit.
Yesterday, afternoon, Biden Administration Attorney General Merrick Garland spoke out for the first time, in an impromptu press conference, since news broke on Monday that law enforcement agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided ex-President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago compound in connection to a search warrant issued against the estate that Garland confirmed was personally signed off on by him.
In case you missed that quick presser, Garland took that opportunity to brutally confirm Donald Trump’s worst nightmare.
Following multiple public calls and demands made by the American people and various overwatch entities, Merrick Garland used the opening statement of yesterday’s briefing to confirm that the search warrant against Donald Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago resort and home would officially be unsealed. Garland was able to make this call, ironically enough, on the basis that Donald Trump himself has already publicly confirmed that the raid took place in the unhinged rant he released to CNN and on his social media platform in the direct aftermath of the search.
Prior to the press conference that confirmed the unsealing of the warrant, Trump and his people were reluctant to allow those details to go public — and he frankly wasn’t happy when the news of Garland’s decision as the head of the United States Justice Department went public.

In fact, NBC News even recently quoted a close Trump insider stating, “No, we’re not releasing a copy of the warrant.”
But now that the shoe has officially dropped, it seems Donald is desperately trying to change his tune.
In a manic statement that hit Trump’s floundering Truth Social platform just before midnight last night, the ex-president openly called for the “immediate release” of the search warrant documents that were executed against his Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago compound earlier this week.
“Not only will I not oppose the release of documents related to the unAmerican, unwarranted, and unnecessary raid and break-in of my home in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago, I am going a step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of those documents, even though they have been drawn up by radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents, who have a strong and powerful vested interest in attacking me, much as they have done for the last 6 years…”
This is the very same search warrant documentation, of course, that Donald Trump himself has had possession of the entire time. So, while his sudden willingness to allow the records to be unsealed may seem strangely out of character for the scandal-ridden former guy, the American people are far from impressed with his apparent change in heart and are instead questioning why he’s not just releasing the warrant himself if that’s how he truly feels about the situation:
What’s stopping him from releasing it himself?

um they gave him a copy
he can release them whenever he wants

Immediate release? He has a copy, it takes less than one minute to screenshot and post. Grifter continues to grift.

This is not a statement supporting release. This is a smear campaign. Just the first of the many steps that would culminate in a fierce attempt at not releasing.

He can still release it himself. LOL.

“immediate release” lol
He has a copy and could release it immediately. Fact the news media and reporters didn’t begin from that point and focus on it instead of fake outrage and grandstanding from Repubs and Fox News, basically sums up the sorry state of political reporting. pic.twitter.com/QcQSQtlAwX

Following Garland’s bombshell announcement yesterday, the ex-president had a deadline of 3 p.m. Eastern Time today to oppose the release of the search warrant, which he’s had in his possession all along and could still release at any time.
Honestly, this nonsense is nothing more than a heady mix of political grandstanding, grifting/campaigning, and a hefty scoop of hurt pride at Merrick Garland calling his bluff.
