If there is anything disgraced ex-President Donald Trump is certainly good at, it’s digging his own damn hole as deep as humanly possible.
The situation regarding Donald Trump and the January 6th Capitol insurrection has mounted to a fever pitch this past week, following numerous bombshell developments, including the exposure by CNN of his eldest son Don Jr.’s positively damning text messages to his father’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows just days after the election, before the race had even been called in favor of one candidate or another, already floating ideas and making plans to overthrow the results and keep his father in power — a move than one legal expert has already labeled as proof that Trump and his people planned to overturn the 2020 presidential election from the very beginning.
But despite all the evidence that is mounting against him, all the people in his inner most circle that have or plan to soon testify before the very House Select Committee that is investigating the attack and his specific role in it — including his own oldest daughter Ivanka and his son-in-law Jared Kushner — Donald Trump still doesn’t know where or when to stop. Or even just shut the hell up.
Tonight, the ex-president held one of his “Save America” rallies in Selma, North Carolina, where, in spite of all the trouble mounting around him, he once again made his loyalties as crystal clear as they have ever been.

Donald Trump just admitted earlier this week that he regrets not marching to the Capitol building with his supporter who would go on to storm the building on that fateful January 2020 day. Now can we stop pretending like there’s anything to even “investigate” here?
