Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen numerous close Trump insiders and even family members who we never expected would fold, end up appearing before the House Select Committee that is currently investigating the January 6th Capitol attack, the events leading up to it, and the specific role the ex-president played in inciting the violent insurrection.
Members of Donald Trump’s innermost circle — including the likes of his former top senior advisor Stephen Miller, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, his eldest son’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, and even his very own daughter Ivanka Trump — have already tossed loyalty to the wind and appeared before the House panel to deliver their testimony, either voluntarily or as the result of a subpoena from the committee. Most likely, their sudden cooperation stems from the fact that the panel has made it increasingly clear that they will move forward with charges of contempt against those who don’t comply after they made examples out of the likes of Steve Bannon, Peter Navarro, and Dan Scavino.
But if there was anyone in the Trump family that we never thought would fold, it was Donald’s unhinged and most devoutly loyal eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.
Yet here we are.

According to a bombshell new report from ABC News, Donald Trump Jr. will be appearing voluntarily before the January 6th House Select Committee in the “coming days.”
Junior’s testimony will likely serve as one of the most crucial, after CNN recently broke the news on a series of damning text messages the eldest Trump son sent to his father’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, in the days just following the 2020 presidential election, before the race was even officially called, already floating ideas to ensure that his father secured a second term in the White House, even if it wasn’t rightfully his.
“We have operational control,” to ensure a second Trump term, one of Jr.’s messages read.
“It’s very simple,” the eldest Trump son wrote in another text on November 5th. “We have multiple paths We control them all.”
“We have operational control Total leverage,” another message read. “Moral High Ground POTUS must start 2nd term now.”
The exposed messages from Junior left legal experts absolutely stunned, with one stating, “The son of a US President plotted to stop the US government from carrying out the transfer of presidential power.”
One former US Attorney referred to the messages as “powerful evidence of fraud.”
Junior immediately faced calls for his arrest.
As it stands, the House Select Committee is set to hold publicly-televised hearings as soon as next month.
