President Joe Biden kept a campaign promise to rejoin the Paris climate accord on his first day in office in a move that prompted an outcry from some conservatives, and Sen. Ted Cruz stepped in to show us what a clueless moron he is. And we get it because Ted Cruz is always wrong, so why stop now. At least he’s consistent. Early Thursday, the Texas Senator wrongly suggested that a multinational pact on climate change — the Paris Agreement that was signed by 194 countries — was designed to serve “the people of Paris.” It’s called the Paris Agreement because that is the city where world leaders in 2015 negotiated the historic pact. Ted should know that, though.
By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates he’s more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and will harm the livelihoods of Americans.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took a well-deserved swing at Cruz.
Nice tweet Sen. Cruz! Quick question: do you also believe the Geneva Convention was about the views of the citizens of Geneva?

You literally voted to deny the city of Pittsburgh a say in the Presidential election.

The Paris Agreement is called that because it was signed IN Paris. It’s just the name.
Do you think the New Orleans Saints are actually saints? “Why do they lose to Tampa Bay? A pirate can’t defeat a saint!”
From the bottom of my Pittsburgh heart, you are so fucking stupid.

Well Ted, just so you know, the “Paris Climate Agreement” is an international treaty which aims to address climate change. It was signed by over 190 countries in 2015 *in Paris* (hence the name)!

Uh oh!
Remove Ted Cruz.
Remove Josh Hawley.
Remove Kevin McCarthy.— The Lincoln Project (@ProjectLincoln) January 21, 2021
The Lincoln Project’s co-founder, Rick Wilson, said that now that Donald Trump is out of office, he intends to turn the super PAC’s attention to Ted Cruz. Good luck with that, Cruz.
