Billy Graham’s Grandchildren Come Out In Defense Of Christianity Today, Said Editorial Call For Trump’s Removal Is “Courageous”

Trump is going to hate this.

Donald Trump appeared to find validation for his bizarre attack on Christianity Today, a magazine that was founded by the late legendary pastor Billy Graham. Trump touted right-wing pastor Franklin Graham over his Facebook post to denounce the very magazine his father founded. CT, the largest evangelical magazine that Trump mistakenly referred to as “ET” as he lashed out at the publication, called for the “president’s” removal from office in a scathing op-ed. The news was so huge that it crashed Christianity Today’s website.

Franklin Graham, — a homophobe and an Islamophobe — may have come to Trump’s rescue but Billy Graham’s grandchildren do not approve of this “president” and backed the publication’s call for his removal.

Billy Graham’s granddaughter said the evangelical Christian magazine’s call for Trump to be removed from office was “courageous.” Jerushah Duford said she disagrees with her uncle Franklin Graham, who took to Facebook to tear into the publication.

“My grandfather always said courage is contagious,” she said. “My hope is that an article like this will be a first step for people to actually stand up.” She went on to say that the good Trump has done, like his anti-choice stance, does not seem to outweigh the bad he’s done.

Watch:

Billy Graham’s grandson, Boz Tchividjian, weighed in, too, to say, “A heavy hearted bravo to CT! Well said on so many levels. I believe my grandfather would have had a similar perspective. Thank you.”

In the editorial that caused Trump to have a fit, the author wrote that the House was justified in approving impeachment articles after Trump pressured Ukraine into investigating his political opponent Joe Biden, and his son Hunter.

“The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents,” the magazine said. “That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.”

And we’re pretty sure that Jesus does not approve of “profoundly immoral” behavior and that’s something Trump has exhibited for his entire life. What Trump has done recently is just an extension of that.
