Bussed five miles into the desert for the event, they were left with no transportation back to their cars. When the buses didn’t return, many were forced to walk for hours in the dark, feeling confused and frustrated.
Trump has a history of abandoning his supporters after rallies, and this incident is just the latest example. At previous rallies in 2020, many people were left stranded in freezing temperatures after Trump left without ensuring transportation was available for his fans. Even though these incidents keep happening, his loyal supporters seem to always come back for more, despite the poor treatment.
This time, some reports suggest that the bus company refused to return because Trump’s campaign had not paid them. Trump has a well-documented history of not paying businesses and contractors, dating back to his time as a real estate developer. Many small businesses have reported financial losses due to Trump’s refusal to honor contracts or payments. This behavior has followed him into politics, where he continues to leave bills unpaid.

It was clear from the online reactions that many people found it hard to sympathize with Trump’s fans, given his repeated failure to take care of them after his rallies.
Some Trump supporters, however, tried to blame others for the transportation mishap, with conspiracy theories circulating that local officials or fuel shortages were responsible. But political commentator Brian Tyler Cohen quickly shut down these wild theories. In a video response, he said, “Even if it’s obviously Trump’s fault, it’s never Trump’s fault,” calling out the pattern of Trump’s fans refusing to hold him accountable.
This event shows a larger pattern of behavior from Trump, where he frequently leaves others to deal with the consequences of his actions, whether it’s contractors, local governments, or even his own supporters. Despite this, Trump’s base remains incredibly loyal, continuing to attend his rallies and support his campaign, even though he often abandons them.
