Donald Trump Breaks His Silence On Daughter Ivanka’s 8-Hour Testimony To The January 6th House Committee And It’s Even More Insane Than We Were Prepared For

We knew this was coming.

It’s been a pretty brutal week for ex-President Donald Trump as, amid all the other ongoing disasters in his pathetic life, breaking new reports revealed that his own eldest daughter Ivanka Trump has officially, voluntarily testified before the January 6th House Select Committee for at least 8 hours. Ivanka’s testimony before the panel came directly on the heels of her husband, Jared Kushner, who also appeared voluntarily to testify in the January 6th Capitol attack investigation and was reportedly “friendly” with panel members.

Now, in a new, lengthy interview with The Washington Post’s Josh Dawsey, the disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former guy has officially broken his silence about his daughter’s recent cooperation with the very Committee that’s currently investigating him and, frankly, it’s even more off the wall than we were quite prepared for.

Speaking with Dawsey, Trump called Ivanka’s testimony before the January 6th House panel a “shame” and “harassment.”

January 6th House Select Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson spoke with reporters and said that while Ivanka wasn’t “chatty” during her testimony, she was cooperative and answered the questions asked of her by the lawmakers on the panel.

“She came in on her own, that has obviously significant value. We did not have to subpoena,” Thompson confirmed to CNN.

Meanwhile, a source who was in the room during Jared Kushner’s testimony told NBC News that Ivanka’s husband was “cooperative” and “friendly.” Rep. Elaine Luria told NPR that Jared’s remarks were “helpful.”

It’s currently unconfirmed whether Ivanka or Jared invoked executive privilege or their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination to skip over certain questions from the committee, but during a segment with MSNBC’s Chief Legal Correspondent Melber, he indicated that they did not.

The most unhinged of Trump’s response to the testimony was his revelation to the Post that he offered both his daughter and son-in-law “privilege” but they both turned him down. This is, of course, something Donald Trump, as an ex-US president, does not have the ability to even offer, much less deliver on.

Both the Biden White House and the United States Supreme Court have thrown out Trump’s claims to executive privileges.
