Ex-Watergate Prosecutor Predicts “Donald Trump Is Toast” After Sondland Testifies This Week

If you listen closely, you can already hear him starting to crisp.

The first week of public impeachment hearings — hearings that were demanded by the Republican party themselves — is now in the books. And frankly, they didn’t do Donald Trump any favors. Now, instead of just the House Intelligence Committee knowing how positively fucked up Donald Trump and his administration is, all of America gets to bear witness to it as well.

Not that we all didn’t already know that’s he a massive piece of shit. But this just kind of confirms it all for us.

However, according to one former prosecutor, things are set to get much, much worse for the douchebag-in-chief once European Union ambassador Gordon Sondland delivers his testimony to Congress and the American public this week. And frankly, this guy should really know what he’s talking about, considering he’s a former Watergate prosecutor.

Former Nixon foe Nick Akerman appeared on CNN today and gave a blistering prediction of Trump’s prognosis after Sondland delivers his testimony this week when the CNN host asked what Akerman believed Sondland would tell Congress after having already had to revise his testimony.

“I don’t think he’s got much of a choice, it seems like that and those text messages, the evidence here is overwhelming,” the ex-prosecutor stated. “If he wants to avoid winding up in prison, like Roger Stone, he’s got to come clean.”

It was then that he revealed that he believes Sondland’s legitimate admissions will serve as the final nail in Trump’s impeachment coffin.

“Donald Trump is toast,” Akerman declared. “Sondland is going to come out and tell the whole story, he’s going to detail it, he’s going to have documents to detail it, there’s no question that they were trying to get the Ukrainian government to announce an investigation into Joe Biden… and using money as appropriated by the U.S. Congress to do that. Pure bribery.”

We can only hope that the ambassador’s desire to stay out of prison will outweigh his desire to protect Donald Trump. If so, I agree with Akerman: We will soon be seeing Trump’s house of cards crumble in real-time.
