Disgraced former president and current 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump used his recent Fox News Town Hall to dramatically announce to whoever would listen that he’s actually already chosen who his 2024 VP running mate will be — he’s just not telling.
During the Fox News Town Hall in Des Moines, Iowa, Trump was flat out asked whose name he plans to have on the 2024 ticket with him if he’s able to secure the Republican nomination.
“I can’t tell you that really, I mean, I know who it’s going to be,” the indicted ex-president answered.
Fox host Martha MacCallum pushed and prodded Trump for the identity of his chosen running mate but Trump wouldn’t budge, leaving us to wonder if he’s even informed this person of his plan, or if this person even really exists at all.

MacCallum questioned, “What about any of the people who you’ve run against? Would you be open to mending fences with any of them?”
“Oh, sure. I will, I will,” Trump answered before going on to joke that he could peg his now-former opponent Chris Christie, who is a staunch and vocal critic of the ex-president and even went so far as to vow to do all he can to prevent the former president from securing the 2024 nomination when he formally dropped out of the presidential race last night.
“I’ve already started to like Christie better,” Trump joked.
“Christie for vice president?” the Fox host quipped back.
“I don’t see it, I don’t see it,” Donald responded on a more serious note. “That would be an upset. Christie for vice president. Ladies and Gentlemen, I’d like to announce …nah.”
Christie was actually one of Trump’s top running mate contenders in his 2016 race, but Donald ultimately went with Mike Pence instead.
Daily Mail notes, “This time the favorites include South Dakota governor Kristi Noem, who is appearing as a Trump surrogate in Iowa, and Senator Tim Scott, whose own presidential bid flamed out.
Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor, who is running against Trump for the presidential nomination, has not ruled out being his running mate, even while saying his return to the White House would bring ‘chaos.'”
Frankly, no matter who it is, we know it won’t be good.
