You know there are some people who are just dumb (or ignorant, if you prefer to be nicer) but some people are just plain dumb with extra sprinkles on top. Like far-right Idaho state Sen. Dan Foreman, who dragged his inner dumb out for the world to see after he got into a heated argument with a Native American candidate while the two attended a forum earlier this week which concluded with him yelling at her to “go back to where you came from,” according to a recent report.
Like I said, this is dumb with sprinkles on top.
Trish Carter-Goodheart, a member of the Nez Perce tribe who is currently running for House Seat A, said in a statement that the incident happened at a “meet the candidates” gathering Tuesday in the town of Kendrick, in northern Idaho. Voters attending the gathering were given the chance to pose questions to Senate and House candidates in the area, according to Raw Story. The fun began when Foreman proclaimed discrimination didn’t exist in Idaho, Boise State Public reported Thursday.

Naturally, Carter-Goodheart had problems with Foreman’s racist stupidity. So she tried to school him, pointing out that there is an extensively horrible history of white supremacist organizations in northern Idaho. More than once the state GOP has had to combat attempted takeovers by those white supremacist groups.

“[J]ust because someone hasn’t personally experienced discrimination, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Racism and discrimination are real issues here in Idaho, as anyone familiar with our state’s history knows,” she explained in the statement issued after the forum. “I highlighted our weak hate crime laws and mentioned the presence of the Aryan Nations in northern Idaho as undeniable evidence of this reality.”
But rather than back down, Foreman, the report said, “stood up and angrily interjected, using an expletive to criticize what he cast as the liberal bent of the response.” He was so angry, in fact, that he told her she should “go back to where you came from,” Carter-Goodheart said, before storming away in fury.
Carter-Goodheart’s Republican candidate, incumbent Rep. Lori McCann, who attended the event, corroborated this.
Foreman is a retired Air Force veteran and former law enforcement officer, but apparently, he’s managed to be a racist jerk at the same time and has wound up in the news for his awful behavior. In a viral video from 2017 that was taken from police body camera footage and the Latah Country Fair, he can be heard shouting at a constituent, calling him a “son of a b*tch” and telling him to “go to hell.”

People like Foreman are extra special dumb. I can’t believe any of these fools would tell indigenous Americans to go back to where they came from, when they, well you know, um, came from America. It’s almost unbelievable that racists like Foreman who are so ignorant are in public office.
I should be used to this stuff by now because it happens all the time. These fools crawled out from under their rocks when Trump became president and now we’re all stuck with them.
